Priorities
I spent last night at the ER, as I had pains in my chest that were radiating into my neck and left arm. I had never before had any heart problems, nor any other serious health problems. I have been ill once or twice with something minor in the past decade.
On my way to ER, I was thinking whom I need to call - who would take care of the girls, who of my youngest, in case I would be hospitalized. And then I decided not to think about it, and to think about myself.
After a long series of tests, my heart was found to be completely healthy.
Now it's time to think abou priorities in life.

I feel like a terrible friend! To be so far away and unable to come and watch the kids at a moment's notice, and to be so far away and not have known about this episode until now that I am catching up on the blog :( If you hadn't written all those posts about how hard it is for a foreigner to find work in Berlin, I would think longer and harder about us moving there! ;)
